The Tŏksŏng Line previously known as Pukch'ŏng Line is a non-electrified standard-gauge secondary line of the North Korean State Railway running from Sinbukch'ŏng on the P'yŏngra Line to Sangni.〔Kokubu, Hayato, 将軍様の鉄道 (Shōgun-sama no Tetsudō), ISBN 978-4-10-303731-6〕
== History ==
On 20 September 1929 the Interval between Sinbukch'ŏng and Pukch'ŏng was opened at first by the Government Railways of Chosen(朝鮮総督府鉄道). In the 1940s the extension of the railway had been planned, but the construction was stopped because of the defeat of Japan in the Pacific War. It is known that the present interval was completed about the year of 1980.
